DJ killed in road accident in Gurugram


Gurugram, Nov 14 (IANS): A 29-year-old man, a Disc Jockey (DJ) by profession, was killed on Thursday after a speeding SUV rammed into his scooty at Golf Course Road underpass, a police official said.

Manoj Chakrawarty, a resident of Delhi's Ambedkar Nagar, was associated with a three star hotel in Gurugram where he was working as a DJ, said Dalvinder Singh, investigating officer of Sushant Lok police station.

Singh said the speeding vehicle had hit Chakrawarty's scooty when he entered the underpass following which he lost control and fell on the road and came under the wheels of the SUV.

A cab driver who was behind the victim took him to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the officer said.

A FIR has been registered against an unknown person on the statement of cab driver Sangram Singh, he added.
