Six die in auto-truck collision in Bihar


Bihar Sharif, Nov 13 (IANS): Six people were killed and two received serious injuries after a speeding truck rammed into an auto-rickshaw in Giriyak area of Nalanda district in Bihar on Wednesday morning. The condition of the injured people is said to be critical.

Giriyak police station SHO Anil Kumar said that the truck rammed into the auto-rickshaw on the Ranchi-Patna highway after the driver lost control of the vehicle. Five people who were travelling in the auto died on the spot while three others were injured.

All the injured were shifted to the local hospital where another man breathed his last, he said.

The truck driver fled the spot after the accident and the deceased have not been identified yet.
