Home Secy briefs Amit Shah on security situation


New Delhi, Nov 9 (IANS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah was on Saturday briefed about the security scenario across the country, especially in Ayodhya, in the wake of the Supreme Court verdict in the Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute.

Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla briefed Shah as well as Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba about the security arrangements in the country.

Gauba is also chairing the National Crisis Management Committee meeting to take stock of the rescue and relief preparedness for severe cyclone 'Bulbul' over the Bay of Bengal. Bulbul is likely to affect the coastal districts of West Bengal and Odisha.
