Mumbai, Nov 6: The rise of the humble singer Ranu Mondal from Railway platform to music studios earned her lot of virality. Now that she has become a celebrity and has recorded over three songs with Himesh Reshammiya, the stardom is making her arrogant.
Mondal who won hearts with her rendition of the Hindi song, 'Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai', was seen misbehaving with a fan who wanted to take a selfie with her. A video of the incident which surfaced on Twitter brought severe backlash to Mondal from the netizens.
The clip shows a woman approaching Mondal from behind tapping her to get her attention. This act did not go down well with singer who then looks annoyed and questions the fan in return with the same tap action asking, 'What is this?' in Hindi.

Although celebs are known for throwing tantrums, given Mondal's humble origin, the misbehaviour was not expected out of her.
One of the users wrote, "Ranu Mondal, who was singing in Railway Station says: *She's now a celebrity and others shouldn't touch her!
This is what happens when people don't know to handle the instant name and fame they get!"
Some of the fans believed that it was perhaps too soon for Mondal to throw celebrity fits.
