Pitt Not Just a Pretty Boy Anymore - Tarantino

London, Aug 11: Hollywood filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has said that superstar Brad Pitt should not be looked upon as just a "pretty boy" anymore.

Tarantino who has directed the "Troy" actor in forthcoming Nazi thriller "Inglorious Bastards" has said that the actor has reached the zenith of his career now and should not be eyed only as a "pretty boy" anymore by filmmakers and others, reports contactmusic.com.

"What's really cool about Brad right now is that the pretty boy is gone. He's a man now. He can bear the weight," said Tarantino.

Tarantino also said how, despite it taking him almost a decade to bring "Inglorious Bastards" to the screen, he wrote it at a furious pace, as he couldn't stop having ideas for his characters.

"I couldn't turn my brain off. I couldn't stop coming up with new avenues, new ideas. Am I too big for movies now? Are movies too small for me? I mean, what's that about?"

"Inglorious Bastards" opens in European cinemas Aug 19.
