'You killed your creature': Iranian Minister slams Trump

Tehran, Oct 28 (IANS): An Iranian Minister on Sunday hit out at US President Donald Trump, who earlier in the day announced that US Special Forces had cornered and eliminated fugitive IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a raid in Syria, saying the US had only killed its own creation.

"Not a big deal! You just killed your creature," Information Minister Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi tweeted in response to Trump's Saturday evening tweet - "Something very big has just happened!" - which raised speculation that Al-Baghdadi had been killed.

Trump on Sunday, in a special address from the White House, announced that Baghdadi had been killed in a raid by US Special Forces in Syria's Idlib on Saturday night.

Shia Iran had been a long-standing foe of the rabidly anti-Shia IS, and had been supporting the Iraqi and Syrian governments fight it. While Foreign Minister Javad Zarif had called IS an "ideological sibling of the Al Qaeda", Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had called the US coalition against the IS "hypocritical" and claimed that photos showed US supplying the IS with weapons.

    If he is a creature of US why did ISIS turn against the US? Rarely a dog will bite its own master. Paltu kutta agar apne malik ko katte tho use goli mar di jaati hai.

    Who created ISIS doesn't matter for the people of Iraq and Syria !!! They have lost their livelihoods, their land, their belongings and millions made refugees because of ISIS. It was like a tsunami especially for Muslims of these lands which wiped out everything in its path. The people were bombed in one time or other by the Syrian regime, US, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Turkey and all and sundry in the name of fighting ISIS, and daily horror at the hands of militia groups of different shades. The ordinary people of these lands didn't even had a choice!!!

    Actually he is right. Baghdadi, bin Laden are all products of USA foreign policy of selling arms and weapons to both warring sides and profiting from both sides.... This kind of Double game we have to learn from Americans, British, and French only.... In African continent biggest suppliers of arms to all rebel groups are France and South Africa.

    Otherwise, why would US get irritated by Turkey hitting ISIS targets ?
    why did US shot down the fighter jet of Russia while they where hitting ISIS pockets ?
    So, ISIS is nothing else but, they own creation.

    In Syria the actual bone of contention is Bashar Al-Assad. While the US wants to topple Assad and install a puppet government, Russia is making all efforts to keep him in power. Eliminating ISIS is secondary to them. In the process ISIS is targeted by both US and Russia because ISIS is a threat to both Assad and the moderate Syrian rebels supported by the US.
