New Delhi, Oct 23: Delhi police on Monday arrested a 22-year-old man who allegedly hit his mother to death since she did not respond to his repetitive requests for money while she was praying.
As per the police, the heinous incident took place last week in northeast Delhi's Jyoti Nagar.
The whole incident came to light when the Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital staff on October 17, informed the police about the woman named Shiksha Devi who had been admitted by her son Mukul.

The police found that Ashutosh was missing since the time of the incident.
Shiksha Devi died on Monday from injuries and a case of murder was registered, senior police official (Northeast), Ved Prakash Surya told PTI.
Police arrested Ashutosh on Monday from Modi Nagar in Uttar Pradesh. After questioning, Ashutosh told police that he hit his mother several times with an iron rod while she was performing pooja.
"He asked his mother seven to eight times for money but she did not reply. He got furious and took an iron rod and hit her on the head several times and fled the spot," Surya said as quoted by PTI agency.
