Tata Motors launch cheapest commercial E-vehicle Tigor EV

Mumbai, Oct 10: Tata Motors has launched an updated electrical version of their Tigor variant, Tigor EV in India. The stylish sedan comes with a 21.5 kWh battery pack that offers an extended range of 213 km on a single charge as per the ARAI certification. The vehicle will be available in three variants, XE+, XM+, and XT+. Considered to be one of the most affordable E-vehicles, the Tigor EV starts from Rs 9.44 lac (after deducting govt. subsidies).

With the launch of this new vehicle, Tata Tigor becomes one of the most cost-effective electronic vehicles for commercial buyers in India. Similarly, Mahindra eVerito has become the cheapest E-vehicle for private buyers in India with a cost of Rs 10.47 lac (ex-showroom).

This vehicle will qualify for all the incentives under the Govt. FAME II scheme which is available for commercial owners. The new version of the Tata Tigor EV is available for the fleet as well as private buyers.

The feature of this electric vehicle includes shark-fin antenna, EV decals, alloy wheels, Harman tuned sound-system, height-adjustable driver's seat among others. In terms of safety, the Tigor EV is going to get dual-airbags along with ABS on the XM+ and the XT+ trim. However. the base XE+ will have only a driver-side airbag. Colour options for this electric sedan includes white, silver and blue.

There will be two charging ports for the car, where one will be fast charging and the other would be regular. A 3-year warranty is provided for the car valid up to 1.25 lac km.
