Mumbai, Apr 9: In times of conflict between the multiplexes and the producers, and the recession , Rishi Kapoor comes as a relief to harried producers. Rishi has returned Rs 25 lakh, his payment for Kal Kisne Dekha, to Vashu Bhagnani saying that in these difficult times he will do the film gratis. Our source said, Understanding the plight of the producer, Rishi Kapoor returned the payment of Rs 25 lakh made to him for his work.
Bhagnani confirmed the story and said, I was surprised when Rishiji sent his secretary to return the cheques. He told me that Rishiji understood that the producers were going through a tough time because of the recession and the multiplex strike.
Bhagnani added, Its not that I know Rishiji personally, Ive met him only professionally and this was my first film with him. I was so touched by his gesture that I felt like making multiple cheques for him for his priceless gesture.
