Salman Khan Turns Teetotaller

Mumbai, Feb 24: A very positive change has swept through Salman Khan’s life recently.

The star, known for enjoying his drinks in the evenings, has been off the alcohol for nearly two months now. Apparently, Salman Khan took a New Year resolution to kick the bottle on his birthday in the last week of December. So far, the actor has stood by his resolution.

A source from the industry says Salman’s drinking habit was taking a heavy toll on his acting career.

“He had begun looking jaded. He’s eyes were baggy and bleary, his face looked pale and his body out of shape. But now, the actor has taken a turn for good,” says the source.

Reports have it that it was good friend Aamir Khan who prompted Salman to quit drinking. Aamir has struggled with his own addictions (smoking) and eventually kicked them. He never looked in better shape than in Ghajini .

Aamir’s dedication apparently inspired Salman to get his own house in order. The star is at a point where anymore abuse of his body could prove disastrous for his career. He’s already given four flops – God Tussi Great Ho , Hello , Heroes and Yuvvraaj – last year and now he’s totally focused on his upcoming film Veer in which he plays a warrior.
