Bhopal, Feb 11: As Sonia Gandhi kick starts her election campaign, Katrina Kaif is also walking around with folded hands. But the actor isn't seeking votes. She's enacting the role of a politician who takes charge after her husband dies a tragic death.
'Rajniti', a film by Prakash Jha has tongues wagging about Katrina playing the role of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, but Jha isn't willing to be dragged into controversy yet. The film is presently being shot in Bhopal with actors Naseeruddin Shah, Nana Patekar, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Vajpayee.
Jha is shooting scenes of political rallies with huge cutouts of Katrina and Tricolours (without the hand symbol). And unlike Katrina of 'Race', she will be seen wearing cotton sarees in the movie as she plays the character of a widow and a high-profile politician.
She stands with hands folded before the 'janata' and speaks in Hindi with a touch of accent. Though Jha would not reveal the plot or the story, he said right after the shooting of 'Rajniti', he will start campaigning for the next Lok Sabha election.
