Mangalore: 'Security of Country Reassured Through Patriotic Youth'

Mangalore, Jan 24: Lieutenant Commander of National Cadet Corps (NCC) 18 Battalion Suresh Kumar said that a country can feel reassured about its safety and security only when the young citizens of the country have strong patriotic feelings in them. “NCC has always been putting forth efforts to ignite a feeling of patriotism among the youths. Along with the military power, NCC too contributes to the protection of the country besides spreading service-mindedness among the youngsters," he explained.

He was speaking after inaugurating the birth day celebrations of freedom fighter Subhaschandra Bose in Suratkal Govinda Dasa College Suratkal by the NCC unit and History Forum of the college on Friday January 23.

"Subhaschandra Bose, who took the revolutionary route to secure freedom of the country, has made an indelible mark on the history of the land. His aim and ideologies should be adopted as guiding forces by the students, he advised.

College principal Rajmohan Rao presided over the programme.  Students Ramya, Kantaraj and others spoke about the life, ideals and achievements of Subhashandra Bose. B Y Kumar of the History Forum, NCC officer Sudha and others were present.
