Udupi, Jan 23:  'Karant Literature Festival', will be held at the Swarna Bhavan of Viveka Girls High School Kota on Tuesday January 27 at 2 pm.

The event is being jointly organized by Kalkura Foundation, Mangalore, Vivek Educational Society and Vivek Old Students Association.

P Sooryanarayana Herle, managing trustee, Gurunarasimha Temple, Saligrama, will inaugurate the programme.

Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president, Dakshina Kannada district Kannada Sahitya Parishat will preside over the function.

P Subramanya Upadhya, Nagesh Shanbhogue, Dr M Prabhakar Joshi, journalist U K Kumarnat, Polali Nityananda Karant and other litterateurs will participate in the programme.

Raghuram Aital, senior scholar and Ambatanaya Mudrady, Yakshagana artiste and Udupi district Kannada Sahitya Parishat president, will be felicitated on the occasion, said K Taranat Holla, president, Old Students Association, Viveka High School.
