Udupi, Jan, 23: The inaugural of 'Samruddhi', a building newly-constructed by Dakshina Kannada Milk Producers Union was held at Perdoor near here on Wednesday January 21.

Speaking on the occasion, Kaup Diwakar Shetty, president, Dakshina Kannada Milk Producers Union, revealed that the Union has decided to implement the 'Mini Dairy' concept, to mitigate the problem of unemployment among the rural youth.

This scheme will be implemented in 635 milk societies of Dakshina Kannada district. Under this scheme, the youth will be provided with equipments used for collecting milk and cleaning the cows, along with loan facility. 

Dr Manoranjandas Hegde, businessman, presided over the function.

K Shanta Rama Sooda, president of the local Milk Producers Society delivered the introductory address.

K Muddanna Somayaji, director of the society welcomed the gathering. Sudhakar and P Santosh Hegde compered the programme.  B Shivaram Shetty proposed vote of thanks. Jyoti K Rai, secretary read out the report.

Zilla panchayat member B N Shankar Poojary, taluk panchayat vice president Geeta G Prabhu, DK Milk Producers Union director Jagadish Karant and several others were present.
