Bangalore: Agnesian Association Holds Annual Get-together

Bangalore, Jan 20: The Agnesian Association Bangalore chapter held its annual get-together on Sunday January 18,  2009 at the Sacred Heart Church Community Hall at Richmond Road here.

The function commenced at 10 am with a capacity crowd of Agnesians both young and old.  The chief guest, Sr  Prema, principal of St  Agnes College, Mangalore was not able to attend the programme  due to unavoidable circumstances.    Sr Carmel Rita, ex-principal of St Agnes officiated and led with a prayer which was followed by the college anthem. Thereafter, Padmini Kumar performed an invocation dance.



Association president Lorna Fernandes welcomed the gathering and briefed the progress made by the Association.  Shalini Rao, secretary, read out the report of the Association for the year 2008-09.   The chief guest in her message appreciated and congratulated the committee for its efforts in bringing up the Bangalore chapter.

A well-planned social programme was conducted with games and housie which was followed by a 'Mando' dance with everyone both young and old participating in it with unrestricted zeal.    The function was ably compered by Tina Joseph.   Every one present enjoyed a sumptuous lunch served thereafter.  All the Agnesians returned back home, taking with them sweet memories of the get-together.
