Mumbai, Jan 20: Bollywood’s fading star Jackie Shroff is now set to shine in Tamil cinema.
The mustachioed hero from apna B-Town is now set to play a don in a Tamil film titled ‘Aaranya Kaandam’. The movie is being produced by S P Charan, son of legendary singer Balasubhramaniyam.
At a press meet recently, Jackie said he did not think twice before agreeing to act in Charan’s film because of high regard for his dad.
“SPB has sung the song ‘Ye Mera Dil Pagal Hai’ for me in ‘Gardish’. So when this offer came to me, I was most willing”, Jackie revealed.
The movie will have Jackie playing a dreaded don named Singam Perumal.
Jackie said he is glad to work in South where films are treated as religion. The actor also said he won’t be having much trouble mouthing his dialogues in Tamil.
