Sullia: 'Bhaktimela-2009' to be held on Jan 23

Sullia, Jan 18: A meet on the devotional path of Sri Purandaradasa will be held at Anirudha Teerta garden of Sri Subramanya Temple from Friday January 23 to Sunday January 25.

The event titled 'Bhaktimela-2009,' is being jointly organized by Bhakti Bharati Foundation and Sri Samputa Narasimha Swami Subramanya Math. The programme promises to be of tremendous interest for those who are devotionally inclined.

Sri Vidyaprasanna Teerta Swamiji, Subramanya Math, will inaugurate the programme, said Vidyabhushana, trustee, Bhakti Bharati Foundation, speaking at a press conference.

Sri Raghubushan Teerta Swamiji, Sri Balagaru Math, will preside over the function.

N Vinay Hegde, vice chancellor of Nitte University and Mohan Rao, manager, Corporation Bank, will participate in th3 programme.

Dr Satyanarayana Acharya will deliver lecture on 'Shattchakra Chintana'.

T S Satyavati  will be conferred with the title, 'Sangeeta Saraswati'. Apart from this, a  special felicitation programme to Shrisha Dasa, Harihatha scholar and Ramkumar, actor will be held on the occasion.

There will be 25 hours of non-stop Hari Keertana, to be conducted from Saturday January 24 at 6 am to 7 am onSunday January 25.

Venugopal Shastri, spokesman, Subramanya Math and Yajnesh Achar  were present at the press conference.
