Mangalore, Jan 5:  A function to release the Tulu almanac by Magnum Graphics Private Limited was held at the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy recently.

Speaking after releasing the book, Damodar Nisarga, president, Tulukoota, Mangalore, said that adopting the Tulu culture and earnestly following tulu almanac are wonderful ways to retain its value.

Presiding over the function, Paltady Ramakrihna Achar, president, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy lamented that the  new generations are giving away the Tulu culture.  We can keep a watch and celebrate festivals like 'Keddasa', 'Vishu', 'Pattanaje' and other such occasions that are unique to Tulu Nadu by referring to the Tulu almanac, he noted

Tulu language must be included in the eighth article of the Indian constitution. If the language is destructed, that spells doom for the whole nation,  predicted Narayan Kharvi, president, Konkani Sahitya Academy.

Dr Paltady Ramakrishna Achar felicitated Sudhir P Ghate, president, Magnum Graphics Private Limited on the  occasion.
