We had to be innovative in the midst of tough times prevailing in the nation, said Kannada veteran story writer Boluwar Mohammed Kunhi.
 
Mohammed Kunhi was delivering a talk as part of the theatre directors’ workshop held on Tuesday December 30. It was jointly organized by children’s theatre school ‘Rangayana’, Mysore, Swedish ITI, and ‘Rangasparsha’ the theatre directors’ troupe.


 


Kunhi while releasing ‘Sadhyathe’, a monthly journal, said that one gets nothing without paying money. Therefore, learning to adjust to changed circumstances is essential for survival. Moreover, we would perish if we don't adapt to change.  One cannot be too good but one can be less bad, he added.
 
‘Neralina Kote’, a children’s play was staged by Rangayana artistes on the occasion.  A debate was also held with the participation of the audience and veteran dramatists.  The play ‘Moote Kelagilisi’, was staged by Rangasparsha performers. 
 
Veteran play director I K Boluwar offered information on opportunities in drama and urged the directors to be creative at every level of performance. 
 
Block education officer Y Shivaramayya and education resource centre Kamalaksha were present on the dais.
 
Ramesh Uliya welcomed the gathering.  Chitravati Balnad compered the programme while Dinesh proposed vote of thanks.
