Margao, Dec 30: “Numerous devoted Hindus have been striving tirelessly to make today’s Dharmajagruti Sabha a success. The current imbalance is responsible for this. Such Dharmajagruti Sabhas have to be organized time and again to maintain this balance. The very fact that this awareness has to be created is a sign of the turbulent times that the future has in store”, asserted Sri Bramheshanand Swami Maharaj while addressing the public Dharmajagruti Sabha organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti  (HJS) at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan in Bicholim.

Dignitaries such as Prof Subhash Velingkar, Sanghachalak of the RSS, Goa, Sangam Borkar, Dharmashakti Sena, Madan Sawant, Sanatan Sanstha, and Jayesh Thali, HJS, were present on the dais.
 
The Sabha commenced with the chanting of Vedic mantras and auspicious lighting of the lamp. Sangam Borkar while addressing the audience, said that Hindus will not rest until they uproot the roots of ‘Jihadi’ terrorism from the country. 

Madan Sawant said that the primary aim of life, in essence, is the ‘practise of Dharma (righteousness)’. Prof Subhash Velingkar of the RSS cited several examples of the anti-terror squad (ATS) being involved in anti-Hindu activities.

Jayesh Thali said that Hindus have lost their pride for the nation due to lack of pride for their religion.

HJS’ western India spokesperson Ramesh Shinde, staunch pro-Hindu periodical ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ representative Abhijit Nadkarni and Vishal Desai, who staged an intense agitation against the idol desecration episode at Cuncolim were felicitated by Sri Bramheshanand Swami.

Resolutions such as ‘We won't sell our votes, we won't vote for fake pro-Hindu candidates, we will celebrate the New Year on the auspicious day of Gudhi Padwa and not 1st January’, were made during the Sabha. Likewise, a total of 17 resolutions such as enforcement of anti-conversion law in the state of Goa, imposition of a ban on the sale and use of T-shirts and other clothes having pictures of Hindu deities and Hindu holy symbol ‘Om’, for protecting national and religious interests, were unanimously passed amidst slogans of ‘Har Har Mahadev’.

The Sabha was compeered by Girijay Prabhudessai and Shubhangi Gaude. Seekers of the ‘Spiritual Science Research Foundation’ from abroad were also present for the Sabha. About  4, 200 devout Hindus attended the Sabha. The Sabha concluded with the rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’.
