Udupi, Dec 29: On the auspicious occasion of Yellu Amavasya, artists from Chitrakala Mandir School created a sand art with the theme ‘Let's Protect the Country from Terrorism’, at Malpe beach on Saturday December 28.

Artists Raghavendra K Amin, Mahesh C, and Harishchandra Acharya, carved the sand art under the guidance of K L Bhat, senior artist. The art with its unique awareness message attracted numerous tourists.

The artists began working on the art at 2 pm and completed it by 5 pm.

The recent terror attack in Mumbai inspired them to create awareness among the people, said Amin.

This sand sculpture is a tribute to the brave security personnel who lost their lives in the attack. We must unite to fight against this evil activity, he said.
