Udupi: State-level Dance Contest ‘Kuniyona Baara’ on Jan 3

Udupi, Dec 27:
‘Kuniyona Baara’, a state-level group dance competition will be held for the first time at Padubidri ZP High School ground on Saturday January 3. It is being organized under the aegis of the Rotary Club, Padubidri, and Raag Rang, Padubidri. 

The group dance competitions are being organized to provide a platform to budding talents from rural areas, said Y Sudhindra Kumar in a press conference held here on Friday December 26
 
Groups from Bangalore, Mysore, and undivided Dakshina Kannada district, have already enrolled their names for participation in the contest.  
 
Suzlon assistant manager Ashok Shetty, MLA Lalaji R Mendon, and Rotary assistant governor Raj Patrao, will be the chief guests on the occasion.
 
Popular sandalwood actors are likely to add flavour to the competition.  Viewers can expect a variety of mimicry performances, display of fireworks, and melodious music, during the event. The winners will be awarded cash prizes, trophies, and citation letters.
 
Ramakrishna Achar, Gangadhar, Santhosh Kumar, and Sasikant, were present at the press conference.
