The late Vittala Shetty Memorial state-level men’s and women’s Kabaddi competition was held at Ira School, recently.
 
The event was organized by Bharat Friends Club, Ira.
 
Speaking after inaugurating the programme, S Ganesh Rao, founder president, Karavali College Institution, said that one can lead a good life with a sportive attitude.
 
K Savanoor Sitaram Rai, businessman, presided over the function.
 
B R Bhat, chairman, Corporation Bank, Kalladi Deviprasad Shetty, convener, Kateel Mela, Robert D’Souza, national-level Kabaddi player, Chandrahas R Karkera, member, Taluk panchayat, and Nagaraj K D, sub-inspector, Bantwal police station, participated as the chief guests.
 
Chandrahas Rai Darbe felicitated Jagadish Kumble, gold medalist and international Kabaddi player, on the occasion.
 
Suresh Kottari, welcomed the gathering. Chandrahas Ira read felicitators’ details while Dinesh Ira co-ordinated the programme.
 
Praveen Shetty Sampila, president, Bharat Friends Club, Ira, was present on the occasion.
