Udupi: Fifth District Kannada Sahitya Sammelan on Dec 30, 31

Udupi, Dec 25: The fifth district Kannada Sahitya Sammelan will be held at the Justice K S Hegde stage of Nitte Kavi Muddana auditorium in Karkala, near here, on Tuesday December 30 and Wednesday December 31.
State home minister Dr V S Acharya will inaugurate the event on Tuesday and it will be presided over by litterateur and Sammelan chairman Dr Na Mogasale, said Ambatanaya Mudrady, president, district Kannada Sahitya Parishat, at a press conference held here on Wednesday December 23.
Achievers will be felicitated at 4.00 pm on Wednesday December 31 and the valedictory ceremony will be held at 4.30 pm. Veteran litterateur Go Ru Chennabasappa will deliver the valedictory speech, said Mudrady.
Kannada Sahitya Parishat honorary secretary Dr K Padmanabha Kekunnaya, honorary treasurer Bhuvanaprasad Hegde, Dr Gananat Yekkar, and Kundapur taluk president Ramanand Kamath, were present at the press conference.
