Sullia: Birthday Celebration of Dr Karunji Venkatramana Gowda on Dec 26

Sullia, Dec 24: The 81st birth celebration of Dr Karunji Venkataramana Gowda will be held at KVG Campus on Friday December 26.

The programme is being jointly organized by KVG Mass Educational Institution and the public.

A personality like Dr Karunji is the founder president of KVG Educational Institution and the Academy of Liberal Education. All will receive the opportunity to congratulate him on the occasion, said Prof K V Damodhar, principal, Nehru Memorial Pre-university College, speaking at a press conference on Monday December 22.

Sri Prasannanath Swami, Adichunchanagiri Math, Shimoga branch, and Sri Dhjarmapalanat Swami, Mangalore branch, will deliver the benedictory speech on the occasion.

K G Bopayya, vice-president, Vidhan Parishat, will preside over the function. N Venkatachala, retired Lokayuta, will participate as the chief guest.

Vidyashri and troupe, Gananritya Vidya Pita, will present a cultural programme on the occasion, said Prof Gowda.

Dr N Jnanesh, principal, Tecnological College, Chidananda Gowda, principal, ITI, and Prof Belyappa Gowda, vice-principal, NMC, were present at the press conference.
