Udupi, Dec 24: Susan J V Rego, department of civil engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, was conferred a doctorate by Manipal University.

She received the Phd for her thesis on ‘Studies of an Alternative for the Depleting Good Quality Clay for Manufactures of Roofing Tiles’. She did her research under the guidance of Dr R K Yaji, retired professor, department of civil engineering, NITK, Suratkal.
