Karkala: First-ever State-level Cultural Conference from Dec 26

Karkala, Dec 23: The first state-level ‘Cultural Conference’ will be held at Sri Bhuvanendra Mantapa from Friday December 26 to Sunday December 28.

The event is being organized by Samskruta Bharati.

The purpose of the conference is to unite all people in one place without discriminating on the lines of caste, political affiliation, language, and economical status, said Shilpi Renjala Radhamadhav Shenoy, working president, reception committee, speaking at a press conference on Monday December 22.

B Nagaraj Shetty, chairman, Coastal Development Authority, will inaugurate the exhibition at 10.30 am, and Sri Vishwesha Teerta Swami, Pejavar Math, will inaugurate the conference at 11 am. Captain Ganesh Karnik, MLC, will inaugurate the cultural sports fest at 5 pm on Friday December 26.

MLA Gopala Bhandary, will inaugurate the cultural procession on Saturday December 27 at 4.45 pm.

Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, Dr V S Acharya, state home minister, Vinay Hegde, president, Nitte Education Trust, and Shrinidhi, regional secretary, Samskruta Bharati, will participate as the chief guests.

P Shridhar Acharya, secretary, reception committee, S Nityanand Pai, president, finance committee, and Satyanarayan, Samskruta Bharati, Bangalore, were present at the press conference.
