Udupi, Dec 21: A motorcyclist miraculously survived after his vehicle was rammed by a speeding bus that rolled over near Halima Sabju auditorium on National Highway 17 (NH 17), on the night of Saturday December 20.

A tourist bus carrying students of Innanje S V S Pre-university College rolled over on NH 17 at Udyavar, trapping the motorcycle that Sahil was riding, under the chassis.    However, Sahil managed to jump off the motorcycle before his vehicle got trapped.














Sahil was riding his brand new motorcycle to his relative’s house at Udyavar, when the incident occurred. The bus was carrying 50 students returning to Innanje after a picnic.  

Passersby including health assistants of Arogya Kavacha, a health care mobile, ran to the rescue of the students trapped inside the bus.  They broke open the windshield and window glasses to rescue all of them.  All the students, teachers, bus driver, and cleaner, escaped with minor bruises.

Katpady police registered a case in this regard.
