Mangalore: Swami Shraddanand Sevashram Set to Reopen Soon

Mangalore, Dec 21: The martyr’s day of Swami Shraddhanand will be observed at Arya Samaj Mandir on Tuesday December 23 at 3 pm.

The event is being organized by the Arya Samaj Acting Committee.

Swami Shraddhanand laid the foundation of the Arya Samaj building in 1942, In his memory, the Arya Samaj activists established ‘Swami Shraddhanand Orphanage’. Later, it was changed to ‘Swami Shraddhanand Sevashram’, said M Lokanand Arya, speaking at a press conference on Saturday December 20 at 10.30 am.

The Sevashram was excluded from the Arya Samaj management. But now, the court has given a verdict favouring the Arya Samaj management after a long struggle. When the management receives the power of Arya Samaj, Swami Shraddhanand Sevashram will restart, he said.

The martyr day will commence with a ceremony and oath-taking will be held by the activist to protect the hermitage in Arya Samaj Mandir, he said.

K Bhavanishankar Arya, president, Sharada Susheel, vice-president, Indranath Arya and Govinda Bangera, member, Arya Samaj Acting Committee, were present at the press conference.
