MANGALORE, Dec 21: The Ullal police have filed a case against their sub inspector H. Shivaprakash for alleged illegal detention of Kabir Ullal, member of the People’s Union for Civil Liberties and the Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike.

After the police officials in the district allegedly refused to register a case against Shivaprakash,

In the first information report filed by the police, Shivaprakash has been made the prime accused while Abdul Rasheed, Usman, Mustafa, K.P Abdul Khader, Basheer and two women are co-accused.

Superintendent of Police N. Sateesh Kumar told The Hindu, the the matter would be investigated by a senior officer.
