Udupi, Dec 18: The annual feast of St Peter's church, Barkoor, near here was held on Wednesday December 17.  
 
Bishop Henry D Souza of Bellary was the main celebrant of festal Eucharist. He was welcomed by St Peter's Association pirgent and parish council vice-president Herald D'Souza at the bus stand and taken in a procession to the church, joined by hundreds of parishioners.  Honorary candles were distributed to the sponsors of annual feast. 
 
St Peter's parish priest Fr Remegius Aranha, Kallianpur deanery forane Fr Marcel Saldanha, Fr Antony Fernandes, Fr Mark Gonsalves and other priests joined the bishop in offering the festal Mass.









































St Peter's Association (Barkoor) Mumbai felicitated bishop Fr Henry D Souza by garlanding a flower bouquet and offering mementoes during the stage programme held later.
 
Bishop Fr Henry D Souza also released a devotional CD of choir master Eric Soans and hymnal of St Peter's Association at the same occasion.
 
The vespers were held on Tuesday December 16 evening with a procession of St Peter's statue at the church compound.  Kallianpur St Joseph's High School head master Fr Vijay Lobo and Kallianpur deanery priests including hundreds of parishioners were present at the ceremony.
