Bantwal, Dec 15: Tourist car driver Sooryanarayan Rao (43), who used to run a tourist car between Mangalore and B C Road, died in a tragic accident near Brahmarakootlu on national highway 48 on Sunday December 14.
The car Rao was driving towards Bantwal collided with a truck loaded with iron ore, coming from the opposite direction. He sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot. The car was also badly mangled in the accident.
The Bantwal rural police have registered a case in this regard.
