Udupi, Dec 11: The district youth Congress celebrated the 62nd birthday of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi by donating silver spoons and silver plates to babies at the district government maternity hospital on Tuesday December 9.
Though it was decided to donate silver spoons and plates to babies born on Tuesday, we have donated it to all 21 babies in the hospital, said A Harish Kini, former president, youth Congress.
District Congress president M A Gafoor, Congress leaders Pramod Madhwaraj, Kripa Amar Alva, Divakar Kundar, Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, Somanath B K, Janardhan Bhandarkar, Kirti Shetty, Amrut Shetty, Shekar, Kalapratibha, Sadashiv Kattegudde, and Shashiraj Kunder were present on the occasion.
Nagaraj Amin compered the programme and Prakash Naik proposed the vote of thanks.
