Kundapur, Dec 11: The anti-naxal force (ANF) has intensified its combing operations following the gunning down of Keshav Yadiyala, a resident of Yedageri, Hallihole, near here, a few days ago.
Additional ANF personnel and the special police force have joined the combing operations in Yedamoge, Beeranabail, Basavanapalu, Hallihole, Kotuguli, Devarabalu, Kabbinale, and other remote areas in the hilly terrain and dense forests.
Road blockades have been set up on arterial routes at Balebare Ghat and Hosangady with armed policemen checking every automobile thoroughly, to nab the killers of Ydiyala.
Police sources informed that the naxals who gunned down Yadiyala are thought to have headed towards Beltangady, moving under cover of darkness, to avoid being spotted by ANF personnel.
