Mangalore, Dec 11: A Karnataka ‘Souharda Jatha’, organized by the CPI (M), will be held from Saturday December 13 to Thursday December 25, in different parts of the state, said G N Nagraj, state secretary, CPI (M) speaking at a press conference on Wednesday December 10.

As part of the jatha, street plays, songs, and speeches, will be organized. The jatha will pass through from Mysore, Mandya, and Bangalore, before reaching the district.

In the region, the jatha will commence from Guruvayanakere and pas through Beltangady, B C Road, Mangalore, and end at Tokkottu on Wednesday December 17. The following day it will proceed from Mangalore to Puttur, where a conference will be organized. Leaders and activists of Dakshina Kannada will welcome the jatha, said Nagraj.

Communalism is the base for terrorist activities. The aim of the jatha is to create awareness among people about acts of terrorism, he added. No country should transfer money to terrorists and no one should give them shelter, said Nagraj. he added.
