Mangalore: State-level Children’s Cultural Fair ‘Bala Prathiba–2008’ on Dec 13, 14

Mangalore, Dec 9: Raga Taranga will organize ‘Bala Prathiba-2008’, a state-level children’s cultural fair as part of its silver jubilee celebrations, at Town Hall on Saturday December 13 and Sunday December 14.

Speaking to media persons at the Press Club on Tuesday December 9, Dr Devaraj K, president of the reception committee, said that Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari, Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala, will preside over the inaugural function. Journalist Sandhya Pai, and Hemavathi Hegde, will also participate.

Mahesh Joshi, director, Doordarshan, Bangalore, Jeevan Ram Sullia, dramatist, and Konela Raghavendra Bhat, Chethana Bala Vikasa Kendra, will be honoured during the two-day event, he said.

Santhosh Kamath. K, secretary, reception committee, said that various cultural programmes will be performed by veterans as well as by young prodigies. Shamali Ghate and Sanjaya Nag, have been appointed children’s presidents while Siddhartha Mallya and Sahana M, have been appointed vice-presidents, for the two-day event.

Chandrashekar Daithota, general secretary, Jaya Rao, and Sadhasiva Kini, were present at the press meet.
