Udupi, Dec 9: A people’s interactive meet was held at Sri Rama Mandir, Perdoor, near here, on Saturday December 6. It was attended by residents of Perdoor, 41st Shiroor, Bellarapady, Kukkehallim and Bellampalli, under Bramavar legislative assembly constituency.

District-in-charge minister Dr V S Acharya, addressing the gathering, said that a long pending demand for a pre-university college will be realized the coming academic year.  A vented dam will be constructed at Kallangala, under the limits of Bairampalli gram panchayat, at a cost of Rs 50 lac, for the benefit of farmers irrigating multiple crops during summer, he assured.

The interactive meet was chaired by Perdoor gram panchayat president Suresh Shervegar.

Various department officers, Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon, zilla panchayat member Upendra Nayak, taluk panchayat president Geetha G Prabhu, taluk panchayat members Ramesh Shetty and Vasanti Kunder, Tahsildar Prasanna, Satish Kulal, and Sudhakar Shetty were among those present. Bramavar special Tahsildar K Muralidar was also present.
