Kundapur, Dec 7: The 800th birthday celebrations of Queen Elizabeth of Holland, the founder of the Tertiary Association, were held on a grand scale along with the permanent acceptance of membership of Padukone, near here.
The chief priest, Fr Sudeep Gonsalves, graced the occasion. Fr Dominic Vegas, performed the traditional rituals on the occasion. Fr Dolphy Menezes, gave the sermon to the August congregation. Fr Philip Neri of Padukone Church, presided over the function. Fr Alfonso D’Lima of Gangalli Church, was the chief guest.
Rita Crasta, president of the diocese, welcomed the gathering. Diana Crasta gave the vote of thanks. At the end of the celebration, various entertainment programmes and a screening of the film ‘Parjalik Neyketra’, was held.
