Mangalore, Dec 7: Math and Samsthan are formed to protect religion and society, and  the Swamis are placed to protect the Math and Samsthan, said Sri Sudhindra Teerta Swami of Kashi Math at Valanke Sri Venkataramana Temple in Mulky on Friday December 5.

Responsibilities and religious feelings in life will lead society to peace and happiness, he said delivering the benedictory speech. Students of the school recited hymns by Vyasa Maharshi Veda on the occasion.

Vasant Nayak, temple priest, welcomed Phalimarkar Swamiji on the occasion. Later, ‘pada puja’ of the Swamiji was held and ‘prasadam’ distributed among the devotees.
