Mangalore:Mangala Express Passenger Drugged, Cash Stolen

MANGALORE, Dec 7: A commuter travelling from New Delhi to Mangalore by train has been drugged and his belongings worth Rs. 87,000, including Rs. 25,000 in cash, were stolen.

D.M. Poojary (37), who boarded the Mangala Express (Nizamuddin-Ernakulam) at Nashik, arrived at the Mangalore Junction Railway Station on Saturday morning in a semi-conscious state.

He was picked up by his brother and taken to a doctor. A complaint has been lodged at the Railway Police Station. He had come to attend his sister’s betrothal, Railway inspector Vittaldas Pai said.
