Mangalore: Musical Gala to Celebrate 60th Birthday of Maestro Kadri Gopalnath

Mangalore, Dec 6:
‘Vadya Nada Vaibhava’ will be held on Tuesday December 9 at 8.30 am as part of the 60th birth celebration of Dr Kadri Gopalnath, at Sri Kshetra Kadri Temple.

Over 500 artistes will participate in the event with the musicians performing on instruments like ‘Nagaswaram’, clarinet, saxophone, and the like. AJ Shetty, administrative trustee, Kadri temple, M Veerappa Moily, president, administrative reforms commission, Lakshminarayan Asranna, Sri Kshetra Kateel, M Narendra, managing director, Bank of India, and R Dilip, district additional superintendent of police, will participate in the event.
 
Yogiraj Sandyanath Swamiji, Kadri Yogeshwar Math, Sri Vidyaprasanna Swami, Subramanya Math, and Padivatti Narasimhalu, president, Karnataka Sangeeta Nritya Academy, will be present on the occasion. 
 
Speaking at a press conference, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president, Kannada Sahitya Parishat, said that Dr Gopalnath will be felicitated at the Town Hall on Wednesday December 10 at 5.30 pm. This will be organized by the Padmashree Dr Kadri Gopalanath Samman Samiti. Mayor Ganesh Hosabettu will inaugurate the programme in the presence of Gurudevananda Swamiji, Odiyoor. Kalkura will preside over the function and A Eshwarayya, critic, will deliver the felicitation speech on the occasion.

Anantapadmanabha Asranna, Sri Kshetra Kateel, Captain Ganesh Karnik, member, Vidhan Parishat, deputy commissioner M Maheshwar Rao, Dr M Mohan Alva, president, Alvas Education Foundation, Harikrishna Punaroor, former president, Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Ananthakrishna, chairman, Karnataka Bank, and C R Ballal, president, Sangeeta Parishat, will participate in the function.
