Mangalore: Prime Accused in Subba Rao Murder Gets Bail

Mangalore, Dec 6: The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court awarded bail to Sandeep alias Rock, chief suspect in the gruesome murder of builder Subba Rao. Sandeep is a close associate of Bannanje Raja, the coastal district’s underworld don. 
 
District Crime Intelligence Bureau (DCIB) sleuths had arrested Sandeep at Padavinangady, near here, and recovered the pistols and bullets used in gunning down Rao, at K S Rao Road, over a year ago. 
 
The court awarded bail to Sandeep on the grounds of insufficient proof. Lawyers P P Hegde and Rajesh Kumar represented the defendant in court.
