Kundapur: Udupi District Unit of All India Milli Council Inaugurated

Kundapur, Dec 5: The inaugural of the Udupi district unit of All India Milli Council (AIMC) and the conference of Udupi district Shariat Court was held at Jamia Zia-ul-Uloom, Kandloor, on Thursday December 4.

Speaking on the occasion, Mufti Syed Bakar Arshad Kasimi, state vice-president, Milli Council, said that Islam is a peaceful religion and Muslims are peace-lovers. Qualities like mercy, sympathy, and philanthropy, are found in them. The terrorists who plant explosives and kill innocent people can never turn out to be a Muslim, he said.

Muslims fought for the freedom of the country. They are eligible to lead a respectable life in the country, said C R Abdul, national member, Milli Council.

Maulana Ubaidulla Abubakkar Nadvi, Udupi district, Milli Council, delivered the keynote address on the occasion. Maulana Abdul Gafoor, member, state committee, presided over the function. K M Salim Udupi, Altaf Ahmad Udupi, M A Maula Udupi, Abdul Sattar Shiroor, Rafiq Belve, T S Budan Basha, Ibrahim Saheb Kota, Maulana Abdul Mateen and G M Cheriyabba, participated in the discussion.

M Kamruddin, district secretary, Milli Council, Udupi, welcomed the gathering.

G M Sharif Hoode, editor, Divyaprabha magazine, and Maulana Zameer Ahmad Rashadi, sub-editor, conducted the programme. N A Naz, state member, Milli Council, Asif Ali, state secretary, and Jameel Ahmad, district chief secretary, Bangalore, were present on the occasion.
