Udupi, Dec 5: It is learnt that a group of naxals appeared in Kabbinale village near Hebri in the wee hours of Thursday December 4.
A group of four to five armed naxals came to the above village at around 3 am and woke up Sridhar Bairy, who runs a fair price shop there. They asked him to provide them with three quintals of rice. When Bairy refused, they reportedly posed him life threat.
However, the police have feigned ignorance about the incident.
