Kundapur: Goods Train Crushes CRPF Jawan to Death

Kundapur, Dec 3: At around 7 pm on December 2, a CRPF Jawan hailing from Gujarat, who was serving in Kerala, died after being hit by a goods train near Byndoor.

The deceased has been identified as Damar Amruth Kumar (37) from Sabarkhand, Gujarat. He got down from the Matsyagandha Express train bound for Mumbai in Byndoor railway station. He was in an inebriated state, and got down because of this condition at Byndoor, the police suspect. For reasons unknown, he was walking along the railway tracks towards Kundapur, when a goods train hit and killed him on the spot.

His luggage and other possessions were found on the spot. Byndoor police station sub-inspector Yogish Kumar is investigating.
