Mangalore, Dec 2: The Dakshina Kannada district-level body building competition was held Tokkottu here, recently. The event was jointly organized by Navachetana Friends, Pilar, Tokkottu and Dakshina Kannada District Amateur Body Building Association.
Zahir Abbas, member, Gen Gym, was awarded the ‘Shri Navachetana – 2008’, while Santosh, member, Guru Anjaneya Gym, Moodbidri, received with ‘Best Biceps’ award.
Around 45 contestants from all over the district, participated in the competition.
Ivan D’Souza, president, Dakshina Kannada District Amateur Body Building Association, presented the prizes.
Former Mr World Raymond D’Souza, Mahesh Kumar, chief secretary, Ajant Kulal, president, Navachetana Gym, Bhaskar Tokkottu, Ekalavya Awardee, and Chandrakant Shetty, secretary, Navachetana Friends, participated were present.
