Mangalore: City Police Arrest Sudanese Student with Expired Visa

Mangalore, Dec 1: City police arrested a Sudanese student on Sunday November 30, for remaining in the country on an expired visa.

The arrested has been identified as Ahmed (29), studying in a private college in the city. He was staying at Urva. Although his visa expired in March, he has allegedly not applied for its renewal.

Ahmed was arrested by Urva police and produced before a judge who remanded him to judicial custody. He has also failed to register his name at the foreigner’s cell in the police headquarters.
