Mangalore: Series of Felicitations Marks End of ‘Sangeetotsava’

Mangalore, Dec 1: The valedictory ceremony of ‘Sangeetotsava - 2008’, was held on Sunday November 30. The event was jointly organized by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Sangeet Parishat, Mangalore, and Mangalore University.

Captain Ganesh Karnik, honourary president, Sangeeta Parishat, Mangalore, presided over the function. Narasimhashrama Swamiji, Hangarakatte Shri Balekudru Math, honoured T N Krishnan with the ‘Sangeet Samrat’ award on the occasion.

Apart from this, Jenumoole Krishna Bhat, music scholar, Anish V Bhat, and Stuti S Bhat, talented youths, were also felicitated on the occasion. Deputy commissioner M Maheshwar Rao, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, district president, Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Dr C R Ballal, president, Sangeeta Parishat, were present on the occasion.
