Mangalore, Dec 1: The procession of head-load offerings (vojim) was held from Blessed Joseph Vaz church, Mudipu to pilgrimage center at 5.30 p m on Sunday November 30.  

Earlier, Blessed Joseph Vaz church assistant parish priest Fr Lancy Saldanha conducted a prayer service.  The head-load offerings were accepted by MLA U T Khader and Bikarnakatta St Joseph's monastery superior Fr George Santumayar at the pilgrimage centre located on a nearby hill.

Parish council vice-president Felix D'Souza and Bola St Lawrence church parish priest Fr Pradeep Correa were also present on the occasion.

Eliarpadav Holy Cross church parish priest Fr Reginald Pinto blessed the head-load offerings and graced the occasion.  Fr George Santumayar offered Holy Mass at the shrine, attended by hundreds of faithful from neighbouring parishes.

Blessed Joseph Vaz church parish priest and shrine director Fr Andrew D'Souza welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of thanks.  Santhu Omzoor compered the programme.
