Mangalore: Variety of Fast Food Stalls Mark 'Amrita Mela'

Mangalore, Dec 1: The 'Amrita Mela- 2008' was held at the school premises of Amrita Vidyalaya in Boloor here on Satuday November 29.

Dr Aravind Shetty, orthopaedic surgeon inaugurated 'Amrita Mela'.

Dr K T Manjula, principal, Besant Women's College inaugurated the art festival.

As a part of the Mela, drama, singing, dance and yoga by students, entertained the audience. Apart from it, various competitions were conducted and 30 fast food stalls were installed at the venue.

The members of Amrita Vidyalaya participated in large number.

The photographs of life achievement, educational and social service activities of Amritanandamayi were exhibited on the occasion.

Indira Verma, principal and Chaitanyadevi, representative, Amritanandamayi Math were present on the occasion.
